We Count On You
At Locust Lane Riding Center, we provide programs that teach more than horsemanship.
We cultivate resilience and help overcome adverse childhood experiences through connected relationships with horses and mentors.
We specialize in equine-assisted therapies and equine-assisted learning for personal development.
Our programs educate, equip, and empower young people to reach their full potential while also instilling protective factors to help overcome the risks of the mental health crisis.
When youth find purpose in caring for horses and each other, they no longer question the value of their life.
We invite you to partner with us in this mission.
We seek your support as we seek to change the statistics regarding suicide among young people. Did you know that every day, 16 young people die from suicide? According to The New York Times, after declining for nearly two decades, the suicide rate among Americans ages 10 to 24 jumped 56 percent between 2007 and 2017.
Our message is you are loved. You matter. Your life matters.
Locust Lane Riding Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Federal Tax ID# 462695072.
Your donation sustains the care of the herd, farm animals, and 60-acre property while providing our After-School and Saturday Care Crew programs for free to all participants.
Locus Lane is an entirely volunteer-run organization dependent upon the donations and support of our volunteers, financial donors, and community partners. Please help us continue this important work with your monthly gift and ongoing support.
Sponsor a Horse
The horses of Locust Lane are at the very heart of the work we do. Each horse on the farm plays an important role in our programs.
Some of our horses have been rescued from slaughter, some have been given to our care as the previous owners were no longer able to afford them, some have been sent to us for retirement and given a new purpose in life.
The cost of feed, hay, and veterinary care can be overwhelming.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help ensure that our horses receive the best care possible.
All sponsors are given a photo of their horse and are acknowledged on our website. Sponsors are also welcome to come to the farm and visit their equine family member by appointment.
Give a sponsorship to someone special for a holiday, birthday or in memory of a good friend (human or equine).
Sponsors can be individuals, families, school classes, or organizations.
We are grateful for the support of our Community Partnerships.
